Lake and Cabin Fun

I LOVE summer and all that it brings!!

Enjoying a leisurely pontoon ride with friends...:)
We were also lucky to see this loon family that same afternoon.

A tribute to the 4th of July...

Darci, Annie, and I getting ready for an evening on the pontoon.

Emma decided that it was time for a swim...

...while Steve and Annie have some snuggle time!

The next morning, the boys were just chillin'
while the girls were headed out for a short kayak ride.

The afternoon provided a very intense and GIANT game of  Jenga!!

Mike (and Ranger) ponder his next move.

Who could stop at just one game though?!

Another beautiful Minnesota sunset...

Manda always has to show us a few moves! :0)

Thanks to our wonderful hosts, Mike and Darci,
for always providing a wonderful 4th of July tradition!!

Congratulations dear daughter, Danielle, on your first official career job.  That master's degree paid off in less than one month!  We are SO VERY PROUD of you, and Duluth is the perfect place---you were born at St. Mary's and spent your first year of life right around the corner from your new place!!!  UMD is lucky to have you!!  We love you so much!!

Wedding Bells!

Congratulations to Bailey and Matthew!!
It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception. :0)  Pictures were not allowed during the ceremony and certain parts of the reception, but we were able to get some pictures to share.

Girls' Biking Trip

Packing up for our exciting adventure :)
Ready for lots of exercise and laughter!!

Next, a stop at Trader Joe's...

Then, a stop at the Minnesota Historical Society to see Dani and check out...
...which was AWESOME!!

Having fun hula hooping!!

This exhibit brought back A LOT of great childhood memories!!

Toys & games I remember playing with all of the time...

I still can recall the Christmases that I received my first Lite Brite and
my first Easy Bake Oven.

 Who can forget Holly Hobbie?!

We finally arrived in Preston and began our biking trip by heading to Lanesboro.

Cool pictures taken by the owner of Minnesota Trails,
who was doing a photo shoot at our "resting and hydration" point.

We stopped for a treat at Pedal Pushers once we biked to Lanesboro
(a little over 11 miles there on the biking path).

Time to head back...

...which also meant relaxing in the hot tub!!

The next day we biked to Harmony (12.7 miles).

But first...Heidi and Paula went for a five mile run.

Checking out the history of "Rails to Trails"

Beauty along the biking trails...

BEST pie EVER at Village Square in Harmony
(known as Julie's award winning pies)

Paula and Heidi tried the Rhu-berry Soda Pop.

The third and last day of our trip we did some shopping;
Paula was ecstatic when she came across some rhubarb.

We ended up biking close to 50 miles and walking about 10 miles.
What a fabulous trip we had; it was so much fun,
and I can't wait for our next adventure! :0)
