Lots of Activity

Brittany had her bachelorette party recently.
It won't be long now until you hear the wedding bells, dear niece!!

The Bachelorette

All the ladies...

A fun time was had by all
(minus the burn from the motorcycle right, Britt)?!

Now that my younger brother lives in Fargo, I get to see more of him.
Dakota is in his glory as Steven uses the "FURminator" on him.
Obviously, he wasn't exerting too much energy!!

JJ's turn :)

Steven was a big help...drywalling, texturing, painting, and hanging new light fixtures.
He didn't even get hurt working backwards on the ladder
(which was positioned on the stairs)!!

Pool & Painting

We had another paint night before school started, but this time we played pool first.
It was so much fun!

B...the pool shark :)

Anna said she didn't think she'd ever see the day when she would have a
drink with her former 8th grade English teacher!! :0)

Concentrating...
Judy joined us, too, and we heard all about her retirement life.

Our finished product...

I end this post with three beautiful pictures of real sunsets from the lake last weekend.

More Pics from Home

Now that I have my nice camera back,
I was able to download and share rest of our pictures from our trip home this summer.
Our Traditional Donut Day

We had such a nice surprise visit from Eva and Irv from Fort Collins, CO.  Growing up, I spent a lot of time in Boulder and Fort Collins with them and my other cousins (Eva's parents, who were Holocaust survivors). They were able to spend a few hours with us; it was so nice to see them!!

My mom is really struggling with the late stages of Alzheimer's, so it was great fun to reminisce to Mollie B's Polka Show one night.  She and my dad used to do A LOT of dancing together, and she didn't miss a beat that night.  It's amazing how the mind works.  You would have thought that she goes out dancing every night based on how well those steps came back to her.  We danced a total of four polkas together!  Such a wonderful memory for the future!

Rache messing around with Aunt Lulu's phone... :0)

Steven, Dad, and Darrell packed up and ready to depart for their men's fishing trip to the Big Horns.

 Stream fishing

 Beautiful scenery
THANKS BE TO GOD for no serious injuries as Darrell was pinned under a four wheeler in a mountain stream filled with boulders.  Thanks to the other guys' quick thinking and ability to get the four wheeler off of him in time.  There is NO service of any kind where the accident occurred, so it would have been quite a feat getting help to Darrell or getting Darrell to a hospital.  The guys couldn't believe that he didn't break his neck or his back. He was quite bruised and sore from the whole ordeal, developed complications on our way home, and developed an infection on top of it.  Luckily, his infection has seemed to heal, the bruises have diminished, and his soreness has subsided.  We are very lucky!!

It is fun to have a baby (Owen) around again!!
